Our Groups
For many of the actions that we need to take to restore and protect the lakes, we need to work not only with our partners but with other groups and individuals who can contribute in a variety of ways. By creating a number of working groups we have been able to involve a wide range of people with valuable expertises.
These groups are not fixed, either in lifespan or in the specific projects they undertake, but experience so far suggests that these are created when the partnership establishes that a new group is needed. The following groups have now been set up and are at the heart of the action on the ground which is so critical to the changes we need to make on and around Bassenthwaite Lake;
- River Corridors Group
- Science Group
- Invasive Species Group
- Catchment Sensitive Farming Group
- Bassenthwaite Reflections
The outputs of these groups are recorded in our annual Achievements Report (see activities page)
